Virtual Currency & Purchases Policy

This policy explains optional purchases (if offered), virtual currency/credits, pricing, delivery, subscriptions/recurring charges (if any), and refunds/chargebacks for users in New Zealand.

1) Optional purchases

Some features may be available for purchase (for example: one-off digital items, subscriptions, or virtual coins/credits). Purchases are optional unless clearly stated at the point of purchase.

2) Pricing & taxes

  • Prices are shown before you confirm payment and are generally displayed in NZD unless otherwise stated.
  • Where applicable, GST and any required fees will be disclosed at checkout or in the purchase flow.
  • We do not guarantee that prices will remain the same; any change will be shown before you buy and, for subscriptions, before a renewal takes effect.

3) Virtual currency/credits

  • Virtual coins/credits are digital items for use within our services only.
  • They have no cash value, are not legal tender, and are not redeemable or exchangeable for money, refunds, prizes, or anything outside our services unless required by New Zealand law.
  • Virtual currency/credits may be non-transferable and may expire or be removed if required for fraud prevention, legal compliance, or service changes (we will act fairly and transparently).

4) Subscriptions & recurring charges (if offered)

  • If you choose a subscription, it renews automatically at the price and billing frequency shown at sign-up unless you cancel before the renewal date.
  • Cancellation stops future renewals; access may continue until the end of the current paid period.
  • If your subscription is purchased via a third-party app store or payment provider, their billing and cancellation rules apply.

5) Delivery of digital items

Digital items (including virtual currency/credits) are typically delivered immediately or within a reasonable time after successful payment. If delivery is delayed or fails, contact us with transaction details so we can investigate and resolve it.

6) Refunds, chargebacks & billing disputes

  • All sales of digital items are generally final once delivered/consumed, unless a refund is required under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or we otherwise agree (for example, for duplicate charges or non-delivery).
  • If you believe a charge is unauthorised or incorrect, contact us first so we can attempt to resolve it.
  • Chargebacks may result in suspension of access to digital items or related accounts while the dispute is investigated, and any credited virtual currency/benefits may be reversed where permitted.

We comply with the Fair Trading Act 1986 and will not exclude rights you have under New Zealand consumer law.
